How to use compost extract

What is compost extract?
Compost extract is a liquid full of living organisms. It creates tasty and healthy vegetables and beautiful flowers.

How is compost extract made?
Compost extract is made by soaking a bag of compost in dechlorinated water, much like soaking a tea bag. By gently moving the water through the bag, microorganisms are separated from the parent compost.

How do you use compost extract?
You use compost extract by applying one part to nine parts of water directly to your soil with a watering can or sprayer. It is important to apply it as soon as possible. If you wait too long, it will turn anaerobic, meaning without oxygen, i.e. not good for your plants. If it smells good, the extract is still good. If it smells bad, don’t use it.
